About Us

Club Nights: 

Our club nights are held on a Wednesday evening:

• Winter season (September - April)  Wednesday 8pm to 10pm  at the Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School.

• Summer season (May - August) ​Wednesday 7.30pm or 8.15pm to 9.45pm at the Dronfield Sports Centre.

Competitive Badminton:  (matches are played at the Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School)

Our current teams:

• Sheffield Leagues: 

       Mens Plastics Division 2,  Mens Plastics Division 5,  Combined Plastics Division 2.  

       Matches are played on Fridays 7.00pm until 9.30pm on 2 courts.  

• Chesterfield Leagues:

       Mens Division 4.  Matches are played on Fridays 7.00pm until 9.30pm on 2 courts.  

       Ladies Division 3.  Matches are played on Wednesdays 7.00pm until 10.00pm, start on 2 courts.

Social: 

In addition to the weekly cool down after club night in the local pub, we organise and take part in various social activities.

These include countryside walks, beer festivals, weekends away and our annual Town Twinning event which takes place every May Day holiday weekend.

This takes place 'once a year on a rotational basis' in Dronfield, Sindelfingen or Schaffhausen and includes a badminton tournament, sightseeing and social events.

Membership:

Membership is an annual commitment but we do offer the opportunity to spread the cost if necessary.

Current charges are:

• Winter season £110.

• Summer season (optional commitment) £30 approx..

• There is a match fee of £2.50 per person per match which helps cover the cost of extra shuttles and refreshments.
