About Us

Club Nights: 

Our club nights are held on a Wednesday evening:

• Winter season (September - April)  Wednesday 8.00pm to 10.00pm at the Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School.

• Summer season (May - June)  ​Wednesday 8.15pm to 9.45pm at the Dronfield Sports Centre, (June - September)  Wednesday 8.00pm to 10.00pm at the Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School.

Competitive Badminton:  (matches are played at the Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School)

Our current teams:

• Chesterfield Leagues:     2 Men's teams.

• Sheffield Leagues:     1 men's team.

       Matches are played on Wednesdays,  start on 2 courts, times will be confirmed.

Social: 

In addition to the weekly cool down after club night in the local pub, we organise and take part in various social activities.

These include countryside walks, beer festivals, weekends away and our annual Town Twinning event which takes place every May Day holiday weekend.

The Town Twinning takes place 'once a year on a rotational basis' in Dronfield, Sindelfingen or Schaffhausen and includes a friendly badminton tournament, sightseeing and several social events.

Membership:

Membership is an annual commitment but we do offer the opportunity to spread the cost if necessary.

Current charges are:

• Winter and Summer season £110.

• There is a match fee of £3.00 per person per match which helps cover the cost of extra shuttles and refreshments.

• Guest fees - the first visit is free, then £5.00 (max of 6 visits).

• Former members 'Pay as you go' £5.00 per visit.
